November 2005: Finalist, Parcelforce Worldwide Small Business Awards
Almost 2000 businesses entered the 2005 Parcelforce Worldwide Small Business Awards. Aurora was delighted to be one of the ten national Finalists. Auroa was recognised for its solid growth, impressive corpoeate client list, innovative gender management corporate software and sound revenue growth.

August 2004: Winner, European HP Business Vision Award
Aurora was awarded as the most innovative small business in Europe for our gender diversity software. Competing against national champions, Aurora went on to win the European title sponsored by HP, BusinessWeek and Mastercard International. Aurora demonstrated significant achievements against its UK and European competitors across all four categories, specifically in its use of technology to drive the vision of CEO. The judging panel chose Aurora as the most innovative, creative and successful micro business in Europe because of its solid concept and innovative products.

August 2004: Winner, National HP Business Vision Award
Aurora was awarded as the most innovative small business in Britain for our gender diversity software. The HP Business Vision Award challenged qualifying small businesses across the UK to showcase their business success. The award measured four areas: innovation, use of technology, marketing and promotion, and business success.

July 2004: Aurora founder conferred Honorary Doctorate for advancing women and industry
Aurora’s founder and CEO was conferred an Honorary Doctorate of Education by Leeds Metropolitan University for her valuable contribution to public life through advancing women and educating industry. During her speech at the ceremony Glenda talked about how important gender is and of her work striving for quality and justice for women, who currently influence over 80 per cent of the world’s consumer spending decisions. The Right Honourable Estelle Morris MP was also conferred an Honorary Doctorate by Leeds Metropolitan University for her outstanding professional career in politics.

November 2003 - Finalist, International Gender & ICT Awards
Aurora's `Where women want to work'
(www.WhereWomenWantToWork.com) online service for women to research companies and apply for careers was identified as an outstanding resource. The final award winner was the Equal Opportunities for Women Foundation in Romania. Aurora's nomination received tremendous support from the UK Government's Women and Equality Unit, corporate industry clients, and some of London's top business schools.

October 2003 - Pioneer to the Life of Britain
Aurora founder and CEO, Glenda Stone, was recognised for her entrepreneurialism and women's campaigner work at a special reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. The event recognised the most pioneering contributors to the Nation and saw an impressive guest list including 10 Nobel prize winners such as Nelson Mandella and Stephen Hawking, alongside a diverse range of remarkable people including David Attenborough, Elton John, Richard Branson, Cliff Richard, Mick Jagger, James Dyson, Terence Conran, Last Minute's Brent Hoberman, Zandra Rhodes, and Coffee Republic's Bobby & Sahar Hashemi.

April 2003 - DTI Innovation Review Committee
Aurora's founder and CEO, Glenda Stone, was a member of the 2003 DTI Innovation Review Committee, chaired by Lord Sainsbury. Other members included Sir Terrence Conran, Carphone Warehouse founder and CEO Charles Dunstan, James Dyson, and other inspirational and innovative members.

Aurora's founder and CEO, Glenda Stone, was featured on business start-up CD alongside Yo Sushi's, Simon Woodruffe, and Richard Noble OBE, the land speed record breaker and inventor. The CD, a Barclays Bank production, was released as a practical resource for UK business start ups.

Aurora founder and CEO, Glenda Stone, was awarded `2002 European Woman of Achievement for Entrepreneurialism'. Baroness O'Cathain acknowledged the important success of the Aurora Women's Network as an award winning and outstanding achievement for corporate and entrepreneurial women and it's pan-European presence. Previous winners have included numerous inspirational women such as Ellen MacArthur MBE - World Champion yachtswoman, Ann Gloag -Co-founder, Stagecoach Holdings Ltd.
